–Route 246: Runs from Clifton Hill to Elsternwick, stopping along Hotham Street near the estate.

Other local services: Connect to Elsternwick Station, where you can transfer easily to the estate on foot.
Buses are ideal if you’re coming from suburbs not directly served by the Sandringham train line.
The closest station is Elsternwick Station on the Sandringham Line. From Flinders Street Station in central Melbourne, the journey takes around 20 minutes, with frequent services running throughout the day.
Once you arrive at Elsternwick, it’s a short 5-minute walk to Rippon Lea Estate along Glen Huntly Road and Hotham Street. This makes the train the most direct and reliable public transport option.
The Route 67 tram travels from Melbourne CBD (via Swanston Street) towards Carnegie. Get off at Stop 42 (Glen Huntly Road & Hotham Street). From there, it’s about a 10-minute walk to the estate entrance.
Trams run every 10–15 minutes, making this a good alternative if you’re staying near the city or along the St Kilda Road/Swanston Street corridor.
